Free replacement for old water meters

Free replacement for old water meters
People who have water meters that are 15 years old do not have to pay for its replacement.

The Water Authority of Fiji has clarified this as they say members of the public have to change their water meters which are 15 years old to avoid incorrect readings after a concern was raised on estimated readings which result in higher bills.

Water Authority’s spokesperson Maika Nagalu said once the meters reach the age of 15 years they must replace the meters.

Nagalu also said they have a record of 15 year old water meters.
