Former security guard remanded for alleged rape

A former security guard has been remanded in custody by the Suva Magistrates Court for alleged rape.

It is alleged that the incident occurred on 24th August last year at a student campus where he allegedly raped a 27-year-old woman.

The case has been transferred to the High Court to be called on the 8th of March.

The man has been remanded in custody.
