As the team on the ground surveys the damages of Tropical Cyclone Evan in the West, Lautoka is proving to have sustained the heaviest damages.
This is according to Chairman Advisory Council Lovu Faiyaz Ali.
One of the parts of Lautoka he highlighted is the rural area of Lovu where almost 600 plus households have had roofs ripped off and 12 homes completely destroyed
Most of the structural damage he said was due to trees which have also knocked down power lines.
Ali is also asking for volunteers in the areas of disaster and health to please come forward and assist in any way they can as so much work needs to be done on the ground.
