The three sugar mills in the Western Division sustained some minor damage due to the Tropical Cyclone.
This is according to initial assessments done by Fiji Sugar Corporation Chief Executive Officer Abdul Khan yesterday.
Khan added that some mature cane crops which would have been the first to be harvested next season have been destroyed.
He confirmed that the houses of farmers and quarters have been damaged.
The Labasa Sugar mill did not sustain any damage.
