2,308 in Rewa, Tailevu & Naitasiri evac centres

2,308 people are in 37 evacuation centers in the Rewa, Tailevu and Naitasiri provinces and are expected to remain there today as flood waters are receding very slowly.                          

Commissioner Central Colonel Laisenia Tuitubou said in these evacuation centres, 1,884 people are from Naitasiri, 463 people from Rewa and 45 people from Tailevu.

Tuitubou said this number is expected to increase as the upper parts of Naitasiri are still flooded.

Tuitubou who also went on an ariel survey this afternoon said Naitasiri has been worst hit by the flood.
