Electric appliances and washing machines are among the few things Dilkusha Children’s Home will buy once they receive the charity money from Fiji Fashion Week’s Charity Luncheon held today.
The Home’s Superintendent Deaconess Leba Laveti said they are always looking forward to improving the standard of living for the children so this contribution from Fiji Fashion Week will help them fulfill the wishes.
There are a total of 30 children living in Dilkusha Children’s Home currently aged between 1 to 20 years of age.
Fiji Fashion Week through their charity luncheons have assisted the Kidney Foundation of Fiji and Fiji Cancer Society in the previous years.
Four dresses by international designers including New Yorker LaQuan Smith are up for auction today and the proceedings will go to Dilkusha Children’s Home.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Fashion Week’s first show ‘Echoes of the Pacific Night’ will begin at 7.30pm at the Vodafone Arena.
