Woman in court for Sovi Bay accident
A 32-year-old woman today appeared before Magistrate Peni Dalituicama at the Lautoka Magistatrets Court charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death and one count of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm.

Vijenti Bandu is alleged to have caused the death of two people at Sovi Bay.

She pleaded guilty and did not want legal representation and the case has been adjourned to Monday for facts and sentencing at the Sigatoka Magistrates Court.

In another case, 41-year-old Etonia Bolabasaga also appeared before Magistrate Dalituicama charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death.

The accused was represented by legal counsel and deferred his plea after the charges were read and explained in court.

The case has been deferred till the 7th of next month for mention.
