Three people are now in police custody after a daring $86,000 robbery at Nand's Mall car park in Nabua yesterday.
Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says a 32 year old salesman was robbed of more than $49,000 cash and cheques worth $37,904.65 while on a bank run to the Westpac Nabua branch.
The suspects threatened the victim with a kitchen knife and later fled in a taxi which was later abandoned in Nabua.
The three suspects were brought in late last night and are currently being questioned.
Naisoro said some cash has been recovered although the amount is yet to be confirmed.
As investigations continue business people are being requested to contact their nearest community post or station if they require a police escort when transporting large sums of money.
