Three Asian nationals have been charged with human trafficking and are expected to appear in court this hour.
This follows the Immigration Department’s raid at a Suva hotel last Thursday.
Immigration Director Major Nemani Vuniwaqa said they established after interviewing three women that they are from Thailand and were brought in by two men.
These women were promised jobs in Fiji however when they arrived here, their travel documents were taken away, their movements were restricted and they were allegedly forced into prostitution.
