Vokiti breaks 15 year old record

Joe Vokiti of Tavua College has broken the 15 year old record in the Junior Boys High Jump in the last hour.

Vokiti had a record jump of 1.85 metres in the last hour and broke FM96 Breakfast Show host, Tony Rahiman's record which stood at 1.84 metres.

Vokiti said he was motivated to do well after the devastation by Tropical Cyclone Evan which affected his family in Tavua.

He also said that he promised his grandmother who was the most affected that he will win gold for her in this year's Coca-Cola Games.
