Plumber remanded in custody over alleged murder

A 20-year-old plumber has been remanded in custody by the Sigatoka Magistrates court in relation to the alleged murder of a 38-year old man of Korolevu on Saturday night.

Ronal Singh is now charged with one count of murder.

It is alleged that Singh and the victim were drinking when an argument broke out between the two, the victim died after he fell onto a concrete floor after being punched.

He was found unconscious by the duty manager of a hotel.

He has been remanded at the Natabua Prison until 27th May.
