Land fully secured for Fiji casino
The land for the development of Fiji’s first ever casino has been fully secured.

Landowner and Chairman of the Yavusa Navatulevu in Narewa, Nadi Ratu Tiko Dawai confirmed to Fijivillage that the iTaukei Land Trust Board has handed the native lease to Tabua Investments Limited that looks into the development of hotels and resorts in Denarau.

However, Dawai said they are awaiting approvals and recommendations from the town and country planning department on the construction.

Dawai said a New Zealand based construction company has been given the tender to carry out the construction which is expected to start next month.

Earlier Chairperson of One Hundred Sands Limited Larry Claunch told Fijivillage that all approvals have been given and they have secured the lease for the land in Denarau.

The project is expected to be completed by October next year.
