Even with the weather not showing signs of a cyclone, villagers in Yasawa I rara are getting ready for tropical cyclone Evan.
Resident Akariva Tuidrola said that at the moment the weather is fine but residents have already started putting up shutters, securing their houses and storing water and food.
He said that they are also currently looking to open an evacuation centre.
