The stage is set.
1,400 students will battle it out tonight with pumping music, drama, dance and art in the biggest stage show in Fiji, the Tadra Kahani with connect with the gates of the Vodafone Arena opening in the next hour.
The students will portray real life issues of concern to them from coping with cancer, sexual abuse of children, bullying, school rivalries to the loss of our culture.
We spoke to the students and it is expected to be a tough competition as they are all eager to give their best shot at claiming this year’s Tadra Kahani title.
Meanwhile, Minister for Youth and Sports Viliame Naupoto said the time has come for students to prove a point.
Naupoto said he will be watching the show tonight to see the issues highlighted by the students which needed to be addressed.
Organizers, Total Event Company Manager Loretta Jackson said it has been a two month journey for them and the schools in preparation for tonight.
Dilkusha Methodist School, Suva Grammar School, International School Suva, Cathedral Secondary School, Marist Champagnat Institute, Dudley High School, LDS College, Lomary Secondary School, Blue Light Fiji and Ratu Kadavulevu School are taking part in the Senior Division.
In the Junior Division: Rishikul Primary School, International School Suva, International School Nadi and Dudley Intermediate School will take part.
Tadra Kahani starts at 6.30 tonight at the Vodafone Arena. Gates are now open.
Tadra Kahani will also be streamed live directly from the Vodafone Arena tonight for people living outside Suva and those overseas.
