As the final day of competition in the 2013 Coca-Cola Games kicks off this morning, the race is wide open in both divisions as a number of medals scattered amongst many schools yesterday.

Defending champion in the boys division, Marist Brothers High School currently lead the Fijivillage medal tally with 4 gold, 6 silver and 1 bronze.

QVS is in second place with 4 gold.

Xavier College is in third place with 2 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze.

Suva Grammar is in fourth place with 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.

Meanwhile defending champion in the girls division, Adi Cakobau School leads with 3 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.

Jasper Williams High is in second place with 2 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze.

Xavier College is in third place with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze while Saint Josephs Secondary School is in fourth place with 2 gold and 1 silver.

11 Coca-Cola Games records tumbled yesterday as athletes lift the bar in the different events to deliver outstanding performances at the ANZ Stadium.

34 gold medals are at stake on the tracks on the final day while 14 are available in the field events.
 
Looking at the 100 metres finals:

Savusavu's Beniamino Maravu of Saint Bedes College has been crowned as the blue ribbon event champion after winning the senior boys 100 metres final of the 2013 Coca Cola Games.

Maravu who was carrying a hamstring said he did not believe it when he crossed the finish line first.
