PM briefs UN Secretary General
Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon discussed progress towards full democracy in Fiji in a meeting at the United Nations today.

Commodore Bainimarama briefed the Secretary General on government’s roadmap to return Fiji to full democracy, including the drafting of a new constitution and the plans for nationwide elections in 2014.

The Prime Minister told Ban Ki-Moon that in 2012, more than 500,000 Fijians registered to vote for upcoming elections in a concentrated electronic voter registration drive.
