Police are awaiting the post mortem of the 32-year-old man of Waimalika, Nadi who was involved in a serious accident last week and passed away at the Lautoka Hospital on Saturday morning.
The driver allegedly involved in the accident has been charged for dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report after an accident.
However, with the death of 32-year-old man police are expected to re-look at the case depending on the post mortem result.
The man who was standing on the road was hit by a car driven by a 34-year-old man of Suva who was heading towards the Nadi Airport.
It is also alleged that the driver failed to stop the vehicle after the accident however was later arrested at Cuvu, Sigatoka and taken to Namaka Police station.
