Police netted over a thousand pirated DVDs after carrying out a raid at a major movie outlet in Lautoka on Friday.
Police Media Liaison Officer, Ema Dimila said that a team of Lautoka Police officers raided the Movie House Video Library based at RB Patel and seized 1076 pirated DVDs and 1 CD Duplicator.
Police also conducted a raid at the owner's residence but nothing was found at his house.
Meanwhile, Movie House Video Library Managing Director, Shaneel Autar informed Fijivillage News that they are now contemplating legal action as all the DVDs have been passed by the Border Control.
Police also revealed that they carried out yet another raid on another outlet of the same company at the Sugar City Mall and seized 1154 pirated DVDs.
