Fiji Women’s hockey wins World League Round 1 tournament
The Fiji women's hockey team has won the Hockey World League Round 1 tournament after defeating Samoa 14-1 yesterday. 

Playing with sheer determination Fiji brushed aside challenges from Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Vanuatu as they finished the tournament with a maximum of nine points from three games.

Fiji was in fine form throughout the tournament, scoring 43 goals and conceding just two in their three matches. 

A 17-1 victory against Vanuatu was followed by thumping victories over Papua New Guinea and Samoa.

Meanwhile, Fiji will take on Australian country in both the women's and men's finals of the Oceania Pacific Cup tomorrow.
