Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama is expected to deliver the 2013 National Budget to the nation at 3pm next Thursday.
Commodore Bainimarama will deliver the budget address after returning from the Pacific ACP Leaders meeting in Papua New Guinea next Wednesday.
According to the permanent secretary of Ministry of Finance, the reason behind having the budget address at 3pm is to capture a wider audience.
He added it is an important event in our national calendar and they want to capture as many people as possible including students who should be back home by then.
The budget affects everyone as the government reveals its plan on its main source of income which is taxes paid by the people and the plan on the provision of government services to the people.
