Athletics Fiji To Use Fiji Games As Preparation
Athletics Fiji will use the Fiji Games later this month, as their preparation for the Oceania Athletics championship that will be held in June in Saipan State of Northern Mariyanas.

Coach Albert Miller said they are eyeing eight athletes to be selected from the Fiji Games Athletics competition for the Oceania meet.

Miller said the athletics competition will be held for only two days Friday 30th May and Saturday, and he hopes that most of the athletes from the Coca Cola Light Games will also take part, so that they can see their performance before selecting them for Team Fiji.

Meanwhile, FASANOC has confirmed that 31 sports will be part of the Fiji Games.

Soccer and Rugby union are the only sports not part of the Fiji Games. Fiji FA during that weekend, will have the Fiji Bitter Fact while the FRU will have the Sanyo Cup games.
