New Taxi Permits still on freeze

New Taxi Permits are still on freeze.

According to Land Transport Authority Chief Executive Officer, Naisa Tuinaceva, they are not receiving new taxi permit applications as they are clearing thousands of pending applications.

He said that there is a backlog of applications from the past two to three years and they are not sure when the applications will reopen.

LTA will only process applications on transfer, reissue and amendment and so far they have received more than 50 applications from each division.
