Senior Citizens Home get surprise visit from WAF staff

There were tears all around the Senior Citizens Home in Samabula yesterday as the residents celebrated Mothers Day early with the staff of Water Authority of Fiji.

Approximately 40 staff paid a surprise visit to the home with presents for the 45 residents.

The oldest resident at the home is a 99-year-old woman and the youngest is a 16-year-old female.

Welfare Officer Aloesi Bainivalu said they had nothing special planned for the weekend despite it being Mothers Day tomorrow.

Meanwhile, local singer Ronal Jai will be performing for mothers at the Navua Methodist Church tomorrow to celebrate Mothers Day.

Jai said children should respect their parents.
