Suva laywer Aseri Vakaloloma and 42-year-old Benjamin Padarath today pleaded not guilty to the charges of forgery in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.
FICAC lawyer Vinsent Perera raised concern that Padarath violated his bail condition while trying to stowaway in Lautoka and asked the Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili to revoke his bail in this matter.
Perera also said that Padarath tried to abscond while his passport was still in the court’s custody.
Magistrate Ratuvili revoked Padarath’s bail and adjourned the matter to 24th August for a pretrial conference.
It is alleged that between 14th October to 31st December 2009, Vakaloloma and Padarath with intent to defraud, forged a document namely the Articles of Association for BECP Engineering Construction Fiji whereby making a false page of the Articles of Association by altering the particulars of subscribers.
