The concept of Accredited Social Health Activists could soon be integrated with Rural Nursing programmes in the country.
The concept where local women are trained to act as health educators and promoters in their communities was examined by Minster for Health Dr Neil Sharma on his visit to India.
The Minister was also briefed on the selection, remuneration, monitoring and evaluation of ASHA's.
