The Digicel Fiji 7's team received a timely boost for the next leg of the IRB 7's series in Australia and Hong Kong today when Bank of South Pacific announced a co-sponsorship agreement with Digicel.
BSP Fiji Manager, Kevin McCarthy said they have decided to come on board to show their commitment to develop rugby in the country.
FRU official Dr Eddie McCaig said 7's around the world is a fast growing sport with a high number of viewership around the globe and BSP has joined in at the right time.
Also the Fiji 7's team received good news this afternoon when prop forward Pio Tuwai was cleared to be part of the Fiji team to Australia.
Coach Iliesa Tanivula confirmed that Tuwai had to undergo a medical test this morning adding they are happy he has recovered from his ankle injury.
The Fiji 7's team is in Pool C with Wales, Papua New Guinea and Kenya.
The Australia 7s will kick-off next Friday in Adelaide.
