"Bula Quo" the action-comedy movie shot here in Fiji and starring two famous British rockers from the group Status Quo will have it's world premier at Village 6 on Monday.
The movie which is shot on location in Nadi and surrounding areas is a 90 minute action caper with even a few locals cast in some scenes.
Sticking close to a Fijian theme, movie director Stuart St. Paul who has also worked on three Bond movies has included a kava scene in the movie.
The soundtrack of the movie even features songs with Fijian-style renditions including this first single from the album called Bula Bula Quo (Kua ni Leqa).
According to Status Quo band members the inspiration behind the title is a local who drove them around and whatever they said to him he would often reply "Kua Ni Leqa".
Meanwhile next Tuesday will see a special screening of Bula Quo for local cast and crew with the movie screening for a week from May 20th at Village 6 and 4.
