The Constitutional Offices Commission chairman said he has given a submission to the Interim Attorney General in regards to the appointment of the Supervisor of Elections.
Commission chairman Rishi Ram said under the 1997 Constitution, the Commission is required to make a submission and they are now waiting for the Interim AG's response.
He added that there is no need for them to have a meeting with the Interim Attorney General unless a clarification is needed.
New Zealand lawyer Maurice Coughlan refused to take up the position last month following revelations that he was disbarred in 1992.
