Fiji Corrections Services focusing on reducing re-offending rate
The Fiji Corrections Services is focusing on reducing the reoffending rate.
 
During his recent visit to Ba and Lautoka Correction centers, Corrections Commissioner Lieutenant Ifereimi Vasu told this to the officers and the inmates.

He commended 82 officers for their hard work and urged them to know the importance of discipline.

He also briefed the inmates at the two centers that when they are released they should not think of going back to prison as there is nothing good in prison.

There are 71 inmates at Ba Correction Center and 343 inmates at Lautoka Corrections Center.
