Williams to visit Fiji as part of celebrations

Australia’s Global Ambassador for Women and Girls, Penny Williams will be visiting Fiji as part of International Women’s Day celebrations tomorrow.

Williams said globally one in three women will experience violence at the hands of men in their lifetime and that in the Pacific the figure is double.

During her visit she will launch her publication, “Violence against Women in Melanesia and East Timor” at the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre, visit the CWM Hospital and call on Fem link Pacific.
