The Fiji Rugby Union has started refunding ticket holders today in relation to the Rugby World Cup lottery three years ago.
People who bought the tickets at $10 and $15 are eligible for the refund only if they have their tickets with them.
FRU confirmed so far three people came this morning but only one was eligible for the refund.
In 2011, the Commerce Commission had investigated and stopped the whole process based on how the lottery was conducted by the Fiji Rugby Union.
Fijivillage asked the commission chairman Dr Mahendra Reddy about the winners.
Meanwhile, the audited accounts of the Fiji Rugby Union for 2010 show that the World Cup lottery did not work out well for the union as it recorded huge losses.
The total income from the lottery was $314,852 while the expenses amounted to $535,418.
The total prize money of $300,000 almost covered the total income.
The total loss from the lottery stands at $220,000.
