Heavy rain warning issued

A heavy rain warning has been issued by the Nadi Weather Office.

The warning is for Viti Levu, Yasawa, Mamanuca, Kadavu, Beqa, Vatulele and nearby smaller islands and Southern Lau group.

A trough of low pressure is approaching the group from the West.

Associated cloud and rain is expected to affect the group from later today till tomorrow.

Heavy rain may also lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
