117 new jobs created in Ba Town this year

117 jobs were created with 48 new businesses opening in Ba Town this year.

Special Administrator Ba Town Council Arun Prasad said these are small businesses but it has come as a source of income for many people who had lost their jobs due to the floods earlier this year.
 
He said 46 small businesses had closed down leaving around 100 people jobless.

However, he said few months later the town saw emerging business people willing to open new shops in town.

Around 50 more jobs are expected to be created by early next year with local investment taking place in the town worth a million dollars.
