Although the Digicel Fiji Sevens team lost out to England in the semifinals by 19-12 in Dubai his morning, they still lead the points table with 39 points.
The Ben Ryan coached England side, successfully defended their title after they beat France in the final by 29-12.
Ryan added that the team really played their part well despite making a lot of changes in their quest to win.
In other results in the Plate final, Australia beat South Africa 17-14, in the Bowl final Scotland beat USA 26-0 and in the Shield final Samoa beat Kenya 31-17.
New Zealand lost to Australia in the Plate semifinals by 26-12 and coach Gordon Tietjens said that he still believes in the team he has despite the loss.
The teams will now travel to South Africa for the George Sevens next week.
Fiji is in Pool D with Wales, Portugal and Zimbabwe.
