6 still missing at sea

One of the passengers on the boat to Batiki that went missing in the weekend swam ashore to Natokalau village, Ovalau.

Police said the PWD worker was one of the passengers on the boat “YAVU YOUTH”.

He is now admitted at Levuka Hospital.

Meanwhile, the “MV Vatulawa” and naval boat “FNS Kiro” searched around Levuka with negative results.

Six people are still missing with the boat.

The seven people left Levuka on Saturday to go to Batiki however they did not reach their destination.
