More than 900 youths in prison

More than 900 youths are currently in prison.

This is the revelation during a National Volunteer Centre workshop with the theme “Strengthening Communities through Youth Engagement”.

The statistics which are from January to June this year shows that 972 youths are currently serving time.

The report also showed that some of the offences are against lawful authority, public morality, people, property and against the penal code.
