Chinese nationals handed suspended sentence
Three Chinese nationals were today handed a suspended sentence after they pleaded guilty to one count of gaming without a license.

Suva Magistrate Yohan Liyange said that the aggravating factor in the case was that the gaming machine was found at the time however he considered the fact the three were first offenders.

Magistrate Liyange sentenced the three to three months imprisonment suspended for 12 months and imposed a fine of $300.

The Magistrate also ordered that the currency found during the incident to be forfeited to the state.
