The 2014 US Diversity Visa or green card lottery has opened yesterday and will close on the 4th of next month.
US Embassy Immigrant Visa Chief Cyndee Crook said its free for anyone to enter as each year the US government looks at having a diverse immigrant population.
Crook said between 250 to 600 Fijians are chosen to go to the US through the lottery each year.
She said you can apply for the US green card by going to dvlottery.state.gov
Each person can only enter once.
If you are married, you have to list the names of your spouse and your children.
Crook said you need to have a Form 6 certificate or work experience as you need to make a living in the US.
