Naviti Resort remains closed after fire
The fire at Naviti Resort destroyed the central building that has the main lounge, restaurants, shops and offices yesterday afternoon.

National Fire Authority Chief Executive Officer, John O’Connor said they managed however to save the accommodation blocks.

He said full investigations into the fire will resume again this morning.

The fire fighters managed to control the fire late last night and left the scene around 2am.

The fire had started just after 3pm and initial investigations reveal that the fire started from the Kids Club.

We received confirmation yesterday that Naviti resort workers and all the guests are safe and that the guests have since been evacuated to the Warwick resort.

The resort remains closed.
