Fiji assures G77 protection of all positions
Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Amena Yauvoli has assured members of Group 77 that under Fiji’s chairmanship all positions of the Group is protected.

Yauvoli chaired and opened the first meeting of G77 on climate change negotiations in Bonn, Germany.

The G77 preparatory meeting is traditionally held the day before scheduled UN climate change sessions to enable the 132-member grouping of developing countries to organize itself for the negotiations.

The Bonn session is focused solely on making progress towards the establishment of a 2015 climate change agreement that would be applicable to all Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
