As the new banknotes and coins will be available from today, the new green $5 banknotes will be issued later in the year.
Deputy Governor Reserve Bank of Fiji, Inia Naiyaga said no further details will be given only that the green $5 polymer banknotes will be issued in April.
Meanwhile, with around $6,000 stolen new Fiji currency made up of 100 bills still to be recovered from the $50,000 taken last month, the Reserve Bank of Fiji have not said there will be any delay in release of the new currency.
