To mark World Aids Day 2012 the President of Fiji Ratu Epeli Nailatikau today announced how he will visit 152 schools next year as part of increasing awareness to the most vulnerable groups in the country.
Furthermore the President said that to help reach this group HIV/AIDS education will also become part of the school curriculum, as a key priority area, of the HIV/AIDS National Strategic Plan 2012-2015.
Meanwhile, according to Senior Medical officer Dr Rachel Devi the National Strategic plan which was launched today will cover four core areas.
To mark World Aids day a march was held today led by Ratu Epeli Nailatikau who is also the Country's HIV & AIDS Ambassador.
Meanwhile as of June 2012 the current HIV/AIDS statistics are 449 with 30 new cases reported.
