Fiji suffers shock defeat in Cup Quarters
The Digicel Fiji Sevens team suffered a shock defeat at the Dubai Sevens as they were beaten 8-5 in the Cup quarterfinal against France.

Fiji were lethargic as France played a superb tactical match, keeping the ball for long periods and just not giving Fiji a chance.

France's line outs and break down work were superb and Fiji had no answer.

Handling errors and missed tackles proved costly for Fiji as France landed a penalty goal seconds from time to clinch a heartbreaking victory.

Fiji's try came from Peni Vaciloa while France scored through Jean Baptiste Gobelet.

Fiji will take on Wales in the plate semifinal who lost to Samoa 19-7 in the other quarterfinal.
