Monitor video games usage – NFA CEO
Do not let children play video games for a long period of time during the holidays.

National Fire Authority chief executive officer John O’Connor said the video game is an electrical gadget which can overheat with regular and long usage which is why parents should see that children are made aware of the dangers of prolonged use of electrical appliances or gadgets.

O’Connor said out of the 24 structural fires so far this year, three children lost their lives in home fires while in the last three years, six children have lost their lives.
