Wainiqolo impressed with players
The battle for the 12 spots in the national sevens team for the Wellington tournament is heating up as some new players were part of the fitness test yesterday.

Assistant coach Timoci Wainiqolo said he is impressed with the commitments shown by the players as we are currently in the festive season.

Wainiqolo added the players fitness has really improved compared to the last fitness test.

New players that were part of yesterday’s fitness test includes Red Rocks Jasa Veremalua, Isireli Caginitoba, Vilimoni Marawa and Jone Macilai, Lomaiviti Babas duo Benito Eremasi and Manasa Nayagi along with Suva flyhalf Emosi Mulevoro.

A 21 member team will be announced this Friday before they march into camp next week.

The Wellington 7s will be held on the 1st and 2nd of next month.
